Jenny to Forrest
That's how my week felt, running all the time...

🚌 I lost my public transportation card and I had to pay for another. That day, I basically paid just to go to work. Plus, there was an electrical problem at the subway (as always) and we stayed at the same station for more than 40 minutes. The wagon was super crowded so we were all basically sardines in a can, feeling super hot and smelling bad. At least I got to read while waiting; I found a corner to stand in and since I had already lost my card and had to pay 5 days of public transport to get a new one, I decided to stay and wait. When I got to the bus stop, it was unbelievable crowded too so I got off 2 km before my bus stop because I was tired of being smacked and pushed around. I would call that day "The Adventures of the Proletariat, Part 2000"..
🎼 Pietro and Wanda started keyboard and guitar lessons. Ten thousand years ago, I used to play violin. I studied for some years at the Buenos Aires National Conservatory until I cut one of my fingers helping my dad (he was a construction worker among other things) during a job he had. I cut a nerve, so I can't use it very well. I stopped playing but I still wish I could play an instrument again. Meanwhile, I live through my kids, hehehe. Actually, they asked to start music lessons last year and took classes for almost a year. But I did not see much discipline or practice at home; so this year I talked to to their teacher that I would like more structure and that I would also be more consistent in practicing with them during the week. Let's see how this goes.

👷♀️ Work has been...messy. I'm part of different projects and I'm kind of lost in some of them. So I talked to my boss and she was super nice about it. After this holiday, I’ll be back on my feet. I really like my job and this year I have the chance to help a many instructors/teachers to improve their metrics and their teaching. I need to be 100% on these projects.
⏰ I've been waking up early so I can go running/jogging and walking. How much I love sunrise time! We are in summer, so it is clear at 5:15. I live in a very grey city, where trees and parks are almost a privilege reserved for the richest neighborhoods; I live in a low middle-class neighborhood, so...But in my building, there is a green space where I run. There are four nests in the tress and I get to listen to the birds waking up.
Watching
📺 Oleg and I watched some episodes of "The Mentalist", a TV show we love. He also wants to watch "Wayward", a miniseries. We'll give it a try today.
🎥 We went to the movies with Pietro, Wanda and Oleg and watched Goat, a very nice animated film. I laughed, I cried, I rooted for teh character. 8/10 on my family movie list.
Reading/Listening
📚 I found at home "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury in English. So I am re-reading it.
📚 I'm finishing a book for primary school teachers about Asperger's Syndrome, now known as Autism Level 1. I have a lot to say about this matter but I will finish the book first.
🎧 Bach- Complete Cello Suites performed by Jean-Guihen Queyras. Just love it!
🎧 Curakawa- Dreamtime. They play native music the Americas.
🎧 Wolf Valley from BBC Limelight channel.
Fitness log
🍽️ I improved my diet by controlling portions. And I am controlling my meal times thoroughly.
🏃♀️ I jogged three times this week, again, reaching 4.5 km in 30 minutes according to my Xiaomi watch. But...I've downloaded the Strava app and there it said that I did 4 km. So I've decided to take that 4 as my real baseline and to start improving from that number.
