Weekly rewind

πŸ‘©β€πŸ These last two weeks have been really challenging at work. Mostly because I have a lot of difficulty prioritizing, and I tend to do what I need at the last moment. This year and the next one, will require a lot of organization from me, and it has been difficult so far.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Last two weeks have also been teaching weeks; kids need to learn to be responsible for their things and their time and I've been working on this matter. Since I am not very organized, I don't want to pass that to them. So we've been tidying up stuff left around the house, respecting music practice time, homework time, Spanish time (they speak like natives, but they write many words incorrectly) and avoiding tv or any kind of screens after 20:00. We've been reading together some days and keeping a consistent sleep schedule.

🌻 I've been very fond to aromatherapy since 2010, when I started using alternative therapies (without stopping my regular doctor's appointments) for different hormonal problems I have. After the kids, it was impossible to do anything more than working and surviving financially so I left my hobby for another time. That time has come and I started to create some oils and butter creams. I am very happy with the results so far.

🧠 I've decided to focus on three things until the end of the year: health, work and family. When I mention health, I mean the definition by the World Health Organization:

β€œHealth is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

So it is more than just having your medical tests come back normal. Work, of course, because I need to pay our bills and family because I am very worried about how time flies while you are doing something else. More on this next week.

Watching / Reading

πŸ“Ί El Eternauta, a TV series about an alien invasion in Argentina. Based on the comic of the same name published between 1957 and 1959, it tells the story of Juan Salvo, a survivor of the first wave of an alien invasion. It was written by HΓ©ctor GermΓ‘n Oesterheld with artwork by Francisco Solano LΓ³pez and it conveys the idea that nno one survives on their own. The author, Oesterheld, and his three daughters are among the 30.000 people who were disappeared during the Argentine dictatorship.

πŸ“š Ataque do Comando P.Q by Moacyr Scliar. A book for teens written in 2001 and combines hacking, a classic Brazilian novel, and a mystery. I really enjoyed it.

Fitness log

πŸ’ͺ I started Pilates and took 4 classes. So far, it's been one of my best choices.

See you next week!
